It is amazing how popular GPS systems have become for geographical navegation, and it is obvious that there would also be diverse programs and complements available.

On this occasion you have GeoVisu, a viewer and navegator that´s specialized in geographic data: graphic files, images and GPS. This program gives you GPS navegation in real time (via a moving map using the NMEA 0183 protocol or Garmin USB). This navegation is represented on-screen with diverse geographic data in very diverse formats: MIF, GPX, NMEA, KML/KMZ, SHP, ECW, GeoTiff, MrSID, etc.

GeoVisu is a really complete GPS tool. In addition to simple navegation you can also download interesting sites on the map, tracklogs, and routes from diverse external GPS systems. It has support for various geodesic systems, and can convert geographic and cartographic coordinates. All data can be stored in MIF, GPX, NMEA and KML formats (this last one is compatible with the popular Google Earth).
